Golf isn't an easy sport to master, it can also be expensive, Before splashing out on a brand new set of clubs, why not borrow some from a friend, or if needs be buy a few cheaper end clubs. Then head down to your local driving range, pitch and putt or a easier Par 3 course. This should give you enough idea as to whether you will enjoy it.

Finding a golf club

Most towns and cities throughout the UK have a selection of golf clubs, there are many public and private courses. On a public course you will typically pay a one-off fee. If you join a club you will pay annual "green fees".

Getting better

Practice makes perfect and that is certainly true for golf. However you may find that working with a golf trainer may speed up the improvement. Often they can correct simply parts of your game that have been overlooked. Most golf clubs can put you in touch with a golf professional.
