What do I need?

In order to get started with cross stich you will need the following items: fabric, threads, needles and a decent pair of small sharp scissors.

Getting started

When choosing your first pattern, buying a kit is often the best bet, as all the correct threads will be included in addition to the relevant fabric and the usual pattern.

1) Start in the centre of your fabric and with the centre of your pattern
2) Use the key on the pattern for finding the correct colour thread
3) Pull out single threads at a time to prevent tangling
