I asked my girlfriend (now wife of over 3 years) to marry me at an ancient medieval jousting field in Brackley. I asked her to close her eyes whilst I set the scene, the onlooking crowd, the sound of horses waiting for their moment. I then got on one knee and said this was the perfect place for a Knight to ask his princess to marry him! Sickening but hopefully romantic.
